Approach to Antenatal Hydronephrosis

Antenatal hydronephrosis, which is an urinary tract anomalies, is the dilatation of the fetal period beginning pelvicalyceal system for various reasons. Frequency of prenatal diagnosis has been increased with using ultrasonography follow-up during pregnancy. It is usually in the form of temporary dilation, but it is important to follow it during and after pregnancy because it is a pathology that can lead to kidney failure. The correct diagnosis of causing pathology for antenatal hydronephrosis is essential for treatment and prognosis. The aim is to preserve kidney reserve and function and to prevent possible complications. This review was written to evaluate the approach to patients diagnosed with antenatal hydronephrosis.
